The Anza Borrega National Park is a truly unique place to ride. The metal sculptures give it a personality all of its own, especially at sunrise and sunset.
Today I headed out of Borrego Springs on to the road to Brawley, which is Time Station 2. The photos don’t do justice to the colours or the temperature (only a cool 38 degrees). It’s rugged and unforgiving but still beautiful in its own right. I was passed by RAAM champion Christoph Strasser and his crew who checked I was ok and Christoph gave me a cheery hello as he cruised past. Many thanks to Sarah for letting me borrow Kathy her crew for some extra bottles and to Kathy for keeping me hydrated and for the photos!
